Making Syracuse University Affordable Using Your Military Education Benefits

Syracuse University matches the tuition assistance (TA) rate for active duty service members, US Reserve Component Military and National Guard members using military education benefits to study part-time in an online or on campus undergraduate degree program, covering 100% of tuition.

Military and veteran-dedicated staff at Syracuse University will help you navigate your eligible benefits to include Post-9/11 GI Bill®, the Montgomery GI Bill, Tuition Assistance, Recruitment Incentive and Retention Program (RIRP), Federal Student Aid, and other financial incentives.

Syracuse University also participates in the Yellow Ribbon program, which enables Post 9/11 GI Bill® students to receive additional funding to cover tuition and fees. Learn more here

In partnership with the D’Aniello Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF), military-connected students who are alumni of an IVMF program are eligible to receive a $350/credit hour discount on online undergraduate certificates. Learn more here.

Turn your professional military education (PME) and training into college credit with Syracuse University’s part-time online undergraduate degree programs for military. We award college credits to members of the military based on Joint Service Transcripts (JST) and/or Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) records.

Hundreds of occupations across each branch of the armed forces have already been evaluated for credit toward a Syracuse University online degree.
