Syracuse University offers classes in all four seasons – Fall, Spring, Summer AND Winter! Four summer sessions are available from May until August, and now there is a Winterlude Online session that runs during winter break, as part of the spring term.
Summer Sessions
Summer is a separate term at Syracuse University, consisting of four sessions that run from May until August. Classes are taught in a variety of formats. Registration incurs summer tuition charges.
Summer Courses:
- For full- or part-time SU students and visiting students
Summer @ Syracuse isn’t just about traditional classes. There are also programs, institutes, and workshops for a wide range of students with varied interests. - For high school students
Syracuse University Summer College offers high school students the opportunity to explore college majors and experience college life with credit and noncredit programs. - NOTE: The former SummerStart program has been redesigned: Incoming admitted freshmen who are interested in taking summer session courses should work directly with their academic advisor in their home school/college on options for enrollment in summer courses as a non-matriculated student.
Winter Session
Syracuse University’s Winterlude session features classes covering a wide variety of topics, and they’re all online! Winterlude runs for four weeks, giving you the ability to earn up to three credits. Boost your GPA, prepare for study abroad, or – if you’re a visiting student – transfer credits to your home college. Winterlude classes are open to SU and non-SU students, both full- and part-time.
