Can I use the Online Registration Process to pay my bill?
No. Instructions regarding paying invoice charges can be found at Payment Options.

Do I have to pay my tuition in full at the time of registration?
No. The enhanced Online Registration process allows students to choose a payment option at the time of registration. In most cases this replaces the need to submit paper payment option forms. Student can choose to pay in full, however all of the standard Payment Options are still available. Students are required to pay all fees at the time of registration.

Do I need to create an account to look at available classes?
You do not need to create an account to view available classes. Go to MySlice  and use the Course Catalog Search function to find up-to-date information on classes.

How can I search for a class?
The Course Catalog/Class Search options are on the right side of the screen at MySlice .

How do I find my Syracuse University U I.D.?
Students who have already gone through the registration process were sent emails with their Temporary NetID and Temporary password.

Using that information:

  • Sign into MySlice 
  • Under Finances, click on UC Enrollment Payments/History
  • Click to view payment information
  • Your Syracuse University I.D. number appears under your name

I am a current or former student and tried to register but received an error message indicating I am not eligible to register. What should I do?
Contact the College of Professional Studies Bursar/Registration Office for help with your issue. They will ask you to take a screen-shot of the error message and e mail it to bursareg@syr.edu. They will help you determine the action necessary for registration eligibility.

I am a graduate level student and want to take an undergraduate level class. Can I register online?
Students who want to take a class outside of their career cannot register for the class online. You will be required to get permission from the department offering the class. Matriculated students will also need permission from their home department. Contact the College of Professional Studies Bursar/Registration office for the petition(s).

I am an Syracuse University employee and would like to take a class. Where do I start?
Sign in to MySlice  as a current employee on the left side with your NetId and Password. If you cannot remember your NetID or password, go to ITS: NetID Services for retrieving your NetID and password.

I am an undergraduate level student and want to take a graduate level class. Can I register online?
Students who want to take a class outside of their career cannot register for the class online. You will be required to get permission from the department offering the class. Matriculated students will also need permission from their home department. Contact the College of Professional Studies Bursar/Registration office for the petition(s).

I am having trouble accessing the online registration site. Who can help me?
Call ITS Phone Support at 315.443.2677, or go to ITS Support Services .

I am having trouble with the registration process. Who should I call?
Contact the College of Professional Studies Bursar/Registration office for assistance.

I am not sure I finished the credit card process successfully. How do I make sure the payment went through?
If you do not receive an email indicating a successful transaction, your registration will be flagged to be dropped. Contact the College of Professional Studies Bursar/Registration Office as soon as possible for assistance with making your payment.

I attended Syracuse University several years ago. Can I register as a non-matriculated student?
Yes! Go to the online Registration Process and log in with your NetID and password. If you cannot remember your NetID or password, go to ITS: NetID Services  for help. If you are sure your NetID and password are correct and still cannot access registration, contact the College of Professional Studies Bursar/Registration Office for assistance.

I attended Syracuse University under a different name. Should I create a new student account?
No. You should register using the NetID and Password associated with your former name. Contact College of Professional Studies Bursar/Registration Office for instructions to update your identification information.

I can’t find “enroll in a class” on MySlice. What should I do?
If you don’t see “Enroll in a class” on MySlice , contact College of Professional Studies Bursar/Registration Office for assistance.

I do not work at Syracuse University but I receive Remitted Tuition Credits from my sponsor/employer. Which payment option do I use?
Students who are sponsored by Outside Agency Tuition credits should select Estimated Outside Agency Tuition Credits as their payment option.  Indicate your sponsor/employer and the number of credits you will receive.

I left the registration process without paying the indicated Payment Due Now. How can I stop my registration from being dropped?

To avoid having your classes dropped, please select payment options and/or awards for the indicated amount due on the Finances>UC Enrollment Payments/History page.

  • Sign into  MySlice 
  • Under Finances, click on UC Enrollment Payments/History
  • Click to view payment information
  • Choose payment option(s) to zero out your Payment Due Now
  • Agree to all promissory notes and confirm registration as requested

If you do not see the Student Services Pagelet which contains the Finances Option, contact the College of Professional Studies Bursar/Registration office for assistance.

What if I can’t find the Enrollment menu option?
If you do not see the Student Services Menu Options with the Enrollment menu options then you must log in to the Online Registration portal  through MySlice to register.

What if I want to continue submitting my paper registration forms?
All students are required to register via the enhanced online registration process. Assistance is available at the College of Professional Studies Bursar/Registration Office during business hours. We will help you navigate through the new process and show you just how easy it is.

What if the amount of financial aid awarded won’t cover the total cost of my tuition?
Students who will be using financial aid as their payment option will have the entire amount of their tuition deferred at the time of registration. This deferment is in no way an indication of the financial aid that you will be awarded. Once your financial aid has been finalized you will be billed for any non-covered expenses.

Which credit cards can be used?
At the time of registration, VISA, MasterCard, DISCOVER, and American Express are accepted forms of payment. Information on paying invoiced charges can be found on the Payment Options page.
