Elizabeth Wimer is an instructor in both University College and the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University, leading courses on customer service, marketing, entrepreneurship, sales, and creative problem solving. Prior to her career in academia, she served as the director of marketing and public relations for exclusive, independent hotels in Maryland and in upstate New York. Her past career success can be credited to creating and executing against service-oriented marketing plans that feature nontraditional, relationship-based and profit-generating methods critical to the success of the entrepreneurial organizations in which she served. In addition to teaching, Elizabeth consults for organizations in marketing and project management roles. Wimer is a graduate of Syracuse University with an M.A. in Rhetorical Studies/Speech Communication, and Hood College with a B.A. in Communications.
