Department of Labor Economist to talk about CNY economy at this week’s TMR

The Oct. 28 session of Thursday Morning Roundtable (TMR) will feature Roger Evans, New York State Department of Labor economic analyst for Central New York. Evans will talk about the recession in Central New York and how it has affected industries and people in the area.

As an economic analyst, Evans prepares the monthly job count and unemployment rate data reported each month in the newspaper. He is a 1977 graduate of Niagara University, with a bachelor’s degree in economics and business. Evans has worked for the D.O.L. for 32 years, all but two of them in Central New York. He also writes a bimonthly column on labor trends for the Central NY Business Exchange.
