Available Merit Based Assistance through University College

University College Incentive Grant

A tuition grant for new University College undergraduate students and those returning after an absence of at least five years. Students must complete 9-15 credits of their first two semesters at University College with an overall GPA of 2.0 and a passing grade in all courses. Students are then eligible for tuition grants covering between 2.25 and 4.5 credits free in their next enrolled semester. Matriculation is not required. Students will be notified when they qualify.

University College Achiever Scholarship

Available to new matriculated undergraduates transferring to Syracuse University through University College with at least 30 credits of transferable coursework and a minimum GPA of 3.3. If students maintain the required GPA, they can continue to renew their Achiever Scholarship of 35 percent off tuition for 90 credits, 6 years, or until they earn a bachelor’s degree, whichever comes first. If eligible, students will receive notification with their admissions notice.

University College Galaxy Grant

Available to returning UC part-time undergraduates. Grant levels recognize academic achievement as well as academic level. As a student progresses toward degree completion, grants are awarded the first term of enrollment as a matriculated UC undergraduate student moves up academic levels.
