SU tuition is discounted for part-time students, and there are a number of grants, scholarships, and other forms of financial aid based on merit or need that can further reduce your education expenses. Paying for Part Time Study

There are many different ways to pay for part-time study at Syracuse University. Many students are eligible for financial aid, some students are eligible for tuition reimbursement through their employer, and others may use deferred payment plans or subsidized and unsubsidized loans. If you select the payment in full option or have costs that aren’t covered by other sources, credit cards and electronic fund transfers are accepted during the registration process.

The Financial Aid Office at University College is your go-to resource for financial aid opportunities, including scholarships, grants, incentives of which you might not even be aware. You don’t have to have a lot of money to earn a Syracuse University degree, but you do need to be savvy about your options and work closely with your financial aid advisor to fit with your finances and educational goals.

Federal Work Study

The Federal Work Study Program (FWSP) is a need-based, federally-funded work grant available to part-time students. You must request FWSP funding to be considered, because the funds are only available until the University’s FWS allocation is depleted.

HEOP Program

HEOP is a special admission program that provides financial aid for tuition, books, and parking. It also provides tutoring, academic support services, and access to a computer cluster and printer. Syracuse University’s Arthur O. Eve HEOP is the only Higher Education Opportunity Program for part-time students in New York State.
