Online Registration Questions

No. Instructions regarding paying invoice charges can be found at Payment Options.

No. The enhanced UC Online Registration process allows students to choose a payment option at the time of registration. In most cases this replaces the need to submit paper payment option forms. Student can choose to pay in full, however all of the standard UC Payment Options are still available. Students are required to pay all fees at the time of registration.

You do not need to create an account to view available classes. Go to MySlice and use the Course Catalog Search function to find up-to-date information on classes.

The Course Catalog/Class Search options are on the right side of the screen at MySlice .

Students have already gone through the registration process were sent an emails with their Temporary NetID and Temporary Password.

Using that information:

  • Sign into MySlice
  • Under Finances, click on UC Enrollment Payments/History
  • Click to view payment information
  • Your SU I.D. number appears under your name

Contact the University College Bursar/Registration Office for help with your issue. They will ask you to take a screen-shot of the error message and e mail it to bursareg@syr.edu. They will help you determine the action necessary for registration eligibility.

Students who want to take a class outside of their career cannot register for the class online. You will be required to get permission from the department offering the class. Matriculated students will also need permission from their home department. Contact the University College Bursar/Registration office for the petition(s).

Sign in to MySlice  as a current employee on the left side with your NetId and Password. If you cannot remember your NetID or password, go to ITS: NetID Services  for retrieving your NetID and password.

If you do not receive an email indicating a successful transaction, your registration will be flagged to be dropped. Contact the University College Bursar/Registration Office as soon as possible for assistance with making your payment.

Yes! Sign in to MySlice  as a former student on the left side with your NetId and Password. If you cannot remember your NetID or password, go to ITS: NetID Services  for help. If you are sure your NetID and password are correct and still cannot access registration, contact the University College Bursar/Registration Office for assistance.

No. You should register using the NetID and Password associated with your former name. Contact University College Bursar/Registration Office for instructions to update your identification information.

If you don’t see “Enroll in a class” on MySlice, contact University College Bursar/Registration Office for assistance.

Students who are sponsored by Outside Agency Tuition Credits should select Sponsoring Agency Direct Bill as their payment option. Indicate your sponsor/employer name and the number of credits you will receive. Follow the instructions regarding how to submit your tuition credit information. Your tuition will be deferred and you will remain registered for 7 business days following registration. Non receipt of the required information will flag your registration to be dropped.

To avoid having your classes dropped, please select payment options and/or awards for the indicated amount due on the Finances>UC Enrollment Payments/History page.

  • Sign into  MySlice
  • Under Finances, click on UC Enrollment Payments/History
  • Click to view payment information
  • Choose payment option(s) to zero out your Payment Due Now
  • Agree to all promissory notes and confirm registration as requested

If you do not see the Student Services Menu Options with the Enrollment menu options then you must log in to the Online Registration portal through MySlice to register.

All students will be required to register via the enhanced online registration process. Assistance is available at the University College Bursar/Registration Office during business hours. We will help you navigate through the new process and show you just how easy it is.

Students who will be using financial aid as their payment option will have the entire amount of their tuition deferred at the time of registration. This deferment is in no way an indication of the financial aid that you will be awarded. Once your financial aid has been finalized you will be billed for any non-covered expenses.
