University College is located on the Syracuse University campus at 700 University Avenue. It is easily accessible from downtown Syracuse, Route 81, and Interstate 690.

Driving directions to University College:

From the north:

Take Interstate Route 81 south to exit 18 (Adams/Harrison St. exit). Bear left on the exit ramp, and go under the I-81 bridge. From there go left at the second traffic light onto East Adams Street. At the fourth light (intersection of University Avenue) University College is the building on your right. To park in the University Avenue Parking Garage, continue on East Adams, across the University Avenue intersection and make an immediate left into the garage.

From the south:

Take Interstate Route 81 north to exit 18 (Adams/Harrison St. exit) Turn right on East Adams Street, go to the fourth light (intersection of University Avenue) and University College is the building on your right. To park in the University Avenue Parking Garage, continue on East Adams, across the University Avenue intersection and make an immediate left into the garage.

From the east:

Take Interstate Route 90 (New York State Thruway) west to exit 34A. Take Route 481 south to Interstate 690 West to the Teall Avenue exit. Turn left onto Teall Ave and go to the second light. Turn right onto Erie Boulevard East and go to University Avenue. Turn left onto University Avenue, go five blocks uphill to East Adams Street. University College is the building on the southwest corner of University Avenue and East Adams. To park in the University Avenue Parking Garage, turn left at the intersection of University Avenue and East Adams and make an immediate left into the garage.

From the west:

Take Interstate Route 90 (New York State Thruway) east to exit 39. Take Interstate 690 east to Interstate Route 81 south. Take I-81 south to exit 18 (Adams/Harrison St exit). Bear left on the exit ramp and go under the I-81 bridge. From there go to the second traffic light and turn left onto East Adams Street. At the fourth light (intersection of University Avenue) University College is the building on your right. For free short-term visitor’s parking, go to the University Avenue Garage. Take your parking stub to UC for validation.

Near Campus

  • Marion (corner of Waverly and Walnut Avenues)

Student Parking

A parking permit must be purchased to park in designated SU lots at any time–day or evening–unless pay-by-the-hour visitor lots are used. Part-time/UC students with valid parking permits may park in any orange lot on Main Campus after 5 p.m. and on the weekends, except during Dome events.

SU Parking Services

The following lighted lots are available after 5 p.m. to vehicles with currently valid SU permits:

  • University Place between College Place and Comstock Avenue
  • Nursing North off Adams Street
  • Nursing South off Marshall Street
  • Comstock accessible from Comstock Avenue north of the Science and Technology Center
  • Women’s Building off Comstock Avenue
  • West Campus four lots west of Stadium Place

Evening

Purchase a Manley permit if you plan to park on the Main Campus regularly for UC evening classes or for using campus resources. Manley permits are valid in all orange lots after 5 p.m. and on the weekends, except during Dome events. Graduate students may request additional parking privileges described below. For daytime access, park at Manley Field House. There is a free shuttle bus from Manley to the main campus.

Afternoon

If your class begins after 4 p.m. but before 5 p.m., you may request a service pass for a perimeter lot such as West Campus when you apply for your UC Night Lots permit. You will need to show your class schedule to obtain this pass.

Daytime

If you wish to park on the main campus regularly before 5 p.m., you must purchase an SU student permit (West Campus is recommended) or pay an hourly rate at a visitor lot. Please contact Parking Services for more information.
